I made Guide.et because I want more people to come and see my beautiful country: the mountains, the history, the food, the coffee and above all the people.

When you come, I want you to be safe and to enjoy every day of it. So this guide gathers the basic, everyday things locals already know and visitors usually learn the hard way: which SIM to buy, where to change money, how to get a fair ride, what to eat and what to avoid.

Everything here is what I'd tell a friend visiting for the first time. Nobody pays to be listed, and I only point you to things I'd use myself. A few app and booking links are referral links, at no extra cost to you.
